Why list on ERP Pilot?
Buyers arrive pre-qualified — they've completed an ERP comparison quiz and selected a shortlist.
High purchase intent: visitors are actively mid-selection, not just researching.
Vendor-neutral platform — your listing sits next to competitors, not below them in a vendor's own partner finder.
How to Choose the Right Odoo Partner
Odoo's open-source foundation means the quality of your implementation partner has an outsized impact on the outcome. Unlike proprietary ERP systems where the vendor controls the environment, Odoo partners have broad latitude in how they build — which creates both opportunity and risk.
1. Ready-to-Use vs. Heavily Customized — Know What You're Buying
Odoo Community is free but requires significant development effort. Odoo Enterprise adds critical modules (full accounting, manufacturing, HR) and is sold through partners. Before engaging a partner, clarify how much of your requirements can be met by standard Odoo functionality versus custom development. Heavy customization creates technical debt and makes upgrades expensive — a good partner will push back on unnecessary customization.
2. Check Odoo Partner Tier and Official Status
Odoo's partner tiers (Ready, Silver, Gold, Platinum) reflect the number of certified consultants and successful project deliveries. Platinum partners have the highest thresholds. Always verify the partner's current tier directly on Odoo's official partner portal — partner status can lapse if certifications aren't maintained.
3. Evaluate Their Upgrade Track Record
Odoo releases a new major version annually. If you're on Odoo 16 today, you'll need a partner who can migrate you to 17, then 18. Ask explicitly about their upgrade methodology, how they handle custom module compatibility, and whether they have clients who've successfully completed major version upgrades with them.
4. On-Site vs. Remote Delivery
Many Odoo partners deliver remotely, which reduces cost but requires strong project management discipline from your side. Ensure the partner has a structured project methodology, not just ad-hoc sprints. Ask for a sample project plan and a demo of their project tracking setup before signing.
