Overview

erpSUITE is the ERP system for B2B commerce, e-commerce, manufacturing and services in the DACH region. The flexible and highly customizable ERP system brings all core business processes together on a single platform, from inventory management and procurement to CRM and financial accounting, production planning and business process management, enhanced by intelligent systems. It replaces isolated solutions, eliminates system and media discontinuities, and supports companies with in-depth process expertise to work more efficiently and achieve sustainable growth.

erpSUITE can be used across industries and demonstrates its strengths particularly in e-commerce, wholesale and retail, manufacturing, as well as service companies and skilled trades. Articles, inventory and goods movements are recorded in real time, purchase suggestions are generated automatically, and quotations, orders and invoices are created and archived digitally. Customer data, sales opportunities and service requests are managed centrally within the ERP system. Workflows and process automations can be configured without programming. Through a certified partner network, erpSUITE can also be tailored to specific industry and business requirements without modifying the system core.

erpSUITE supports ZUGFeRD-compliant electronic invoicing, OSS processing for European trade and is fully compliant with GDPR and GoBD requirements. Data is hosted on servers located in Germany. The solution is designed for small and medium-sized companies in the DACH region that want to digitally integrate and automate their processes end to end.

As the ERP system of Softengine, the ERP ecosystem for the German-speaking SME market, erpSUITE benefits from more than 30 years of experience in developing industry-specific ERP software. With more than 250 ERP experts, 2,800 customer companies and 75,000 users, Softengine combines extensive expertise, continuous innovation and close, long-term partnerships.

For the future of SMEs, with solutions that users love in their day-to-day work.

Limitations & Considerations

Unusual Technology Base

The system is written in C++ on Actian Zen, formerly Pervasive PSQL, rather than the SQL Server or Postgres most comparable products use. It works, and it is why customization runs deep, but your IT will find far fewer people who know this stack, and reporting tools that expect a standard SQL database may need the vendor's interfaces rather than a direct connection. Worth a specific question if you plan your own BI layer.

Implementation Cost Is Hard to Pin Down

The vendor's own range spans 12,000 to 950,000 EUR, and the typical figure of roughly 100,000 EUR at 25 users includes services. That spread is normal for a heavily customizable product, but it means the price depends almost entirely on how much you adapt. Insist on a fixed scope for phase one before signing.

Manufacturing Depth Unproven

Manufacturing is named as a target industry and a production module is listed, but nothing in the material describes MRP, capacity scheduling or shop floor control in the way a manufacturer would recognise. Treat production as a capability to verify in a demo with your own routings, not as a given.

DACH Only

Product, localizations, partners and support are built for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. There is no indication of rollouts beyond the German-speaking market.

No HR or Payroll

Personnel administration and payroll sit outside the system. In the German market that usually means DATEV or a comparable tool alongside it, which the DATEV interfaces support.

The AI Assistant Sits Outside the ERP

The vendor is precise about this, which is to their credit: the booking assistant and the process engine are intelligent functions inside the ERP, while enGPT, the conversational assistant, answers questions about the product on the external platform. Useful for onboarding and support, not an in-product copilot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the Softengine erpSUITE grow with our business, locations and user numbers?

Yes. The Softengine erpSUITE is designed to grow with your business without requiring a change of ERP system. Its modular architecture allows companies to add users, locations, business areas, functions and integrations as their requirements evolve. This makes the erpSUITE suitable for growing and increasingly complex organizations while keeping business processes and data within one central ERP platform.

Which existing systems and applications can be connected to the Softengine erpSUITE?

The Softengine erpSUITE is designed to integrate into existing IT environments rather than forcing companies to replace every surrounding system. Standard interfaces and individual integrations enable connections to e-commerce platforms, DATEV, POS, logistics and other business applications. This allows companies to connect existing systems while keeping central business data within the erpSUITE and reducing duplicate data entry and disconnected processes.

How does the Softengine erpSUITE support changing legal and regulatory requirements?

The Softengine erpSUITE integrates important legal and regulatory requirements directly into business processes. It supports requirements such as GoBD, GDPR, ZUGFeRD and XRechnung and is continuously adapted to changing regulations. Because the system is modular and highly customizable, companies can also adapt processes and workflows to specific industry or regulatory requirements without having to replace their ERP system.
